A dramatic, photographic night view of an outdoor wall featuring a large-scale commissioned mural by 9 Shades of Orange. The mural combines bold, sweeping calligraphic curves in layered orange tones with intricate, architectural line work in deep charcoal, stretching across a brick façade that has been freshly primed and smoothed. Two narrow, adjustable wall spotlights cast focused beams of warm light, creating striking highlights on the painted surface and rich shadows in the brick texture. Shot from a slightly oblique angle, the composition emphasizes the mural’s scale while including just enough of the surrounding minimal urban environment for context. The atmosphere is sophisticated and cinematic, conveying exclusivity and artistry, with crisp detail and no people present.

About

Art that lives with you

I’m a Virginia-based muralist and designer who loves turning everyday walls and ideas into stories. Inspired by coastal light, vintage printmaking, and bold color, I listen closely, sketch thoughtfully, and build each piece around your space, mood, and vision.

A serene, high-end workspace featuring a large custom canvas leaning against a textured plaster wall, designed as a commission preview for a client. The artwork shows an abstract, layered composition of nine orange tones blending into soft taupes and off-whites, with subtle metallic copper accents catching the light. Nearby, a minimalist oak desk holds a sketchbook open to pencil thumbnails, an elegant tablet displaying a digital color study, and neatly arranged brushes in a stoneware cup. Gentle north-facing window light bathes the space, creating delicate, soft-edged shadows and a calm, contemplative mood. Photographic realism, framed with asymmetrical balance and moderate depth of field, emphasizing both the artwork and the refined workspace around it.
A meticulously staged flat-lay of graphic design work for 9 Shades of Orange arranged on a smooth stone tabletop. Custom logo explorations, business card mockups, and poster layouts are printed on heavyweight matte paper, each integrating nine distinct orange swatches in a clean, minimalist grid. A color-calibrated laptop displays a vector illustration, while nearby, Pantone-style color chips, metal rulers, and fine-liner pens add tactile detail. Soft, even studio lighting from above eliminates harsh shadows, creating a refined, editorial look. Photographic realism with sharp focus across the entire frame, shot directly overhead. The mood is polished, contemporary, and professional, clearly communicating high-end graphic design services and a cohesive, warm visual identity without using any human figures or readable text.
A close-up, photographic view of a custom mural in progress on a smooth interior wall, featuring layered, flowing bands of orange hues from deep burnt sienna to pale peach, intersected with precise graphite guidelines and masked-off shapes. A curated set of high-quality brushes, paint rollers, and neatly labeled paint jars in warm oranges and neutrals rests on a clean drop cloth at the base of the wall. Soft, diffused studio lighting from overhead track lights creates subtle highlights on the wet paint and soft shadows under the tools. Captured from a slightly low angle with shallow depth of field, the mural textures are crisp while the background fades gently. The atmosphere feels meticulous, modern, and artistic, emphasizing original, in-progress custom work.
A detailed, photographic close-up of a custom illustration for packaging design, printed on a pristine, uncoated card stock. The design features stylized botanical forms and abstract sunbursts in nine harmonized oranges, accented by fine line work in warm gray. The card rests on a dark walnut desk alongside a metal-cased tablet stylus, tracing paper with faint pencil marks, and a precision cutting knife. Side lighting from a nearby desk lamp casts a warm, directional glow, revealing the tooth of the paper and subtle embossing on certain graphic elements. Captured from a slightly elevated angle with shallow depth of field, the illustration is tack-sharp while the edges of the workspace blur gently. The mood is intimate, sophisticated, and distinctly custom-made.
